Gerald "Jerry" Amato, 77, of Ulster Park, NY, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was born on September 23, 1947, in Kingston, NY, son of the late Anthony and Rosemarie (Pupello) Amato.
He was a graduate of St. Mary's School in Kingston and later Kingston High School. For many years he was employed by Miron Lumber in Kingston and later worked at Walmart. He enjoyed car shows and air shows.
Jerry is survived by his brother, Victor Amato of Ulster Park, NY. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his older brother, Anthony Amato.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 216 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY 12466, where friends and family may visit on Tuesday July 22, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm. Friends and family may also visit on Wednesday July 23, 2025, from 9:30am to 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am at St. Mary's RC Church, 160 Broadway, Kingston, NY 12401. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Ewen, NY.
