Gerald Frye Obituary

Britton – Gerald Allen Frye, age 86, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the University of Michigan Hospital. Gerald was born April 16, 1939, in Palmyra, Michigan to Fred and Mildred (Spiegel) Frye. In August of 1961 at Wellsville United Methodist Church, Gerald married the love of his life Nancy Wittman and she survives.
Gerald was an avid collector of many different items, and loved going to auctions all around the area. Gerald attended Wellsville United Methodist Church for many years. Gerald loved to farm, He taught his children about caring for animals and helped them raise their 4H animals, and supported them in all their 4H projects, and taught them about hard work and responsibility. Gearld served in the United Sates Army and Army National Guard. Gerald loved to go to the lake with the family and go rafting and boating. Gerald especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren.
Gerald is survived by his wife Nancy; his children: Gerald E. (Kim) Frye of Palmyra, Laurie (Todd) Brown of Jasper, Lisa (Dean) Tesch of Simpsonville, South Carolina; brother: James (Doris) Frye of Palmyra; grandchildren: Justin, Jenna, Amy, Jeremiah, Jordan, Ashley, William, and Benjamin: and 10 great-grandchildren. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Mildred Frye; sister: Linda: Brother: Ronald, and granddaughter: Josie Brown.
Visitation for Gerald will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home – Blissfield, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service for Gerald will be held Monday, June 16, 2025, at the Anderson-Rudd Funeral Home, Blissfield at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Bradley Vasey Officiating. Bural will follow at Palmyra Cemetery, Palmyra, Michigan with Military honors Rendered by the Blissfield American Legion Post 325.
