Gerald “Jerry” Joseph Fountaine, age 76, passed away at home on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Wild Rose, WI. He was born August 20, 1948, to Alfred and Lottie (Barden) Fountaine in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
Jerry graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1968. He married Ruthie Hobbick on July 3, 1971, recently celebrating 54 years together.
Jerry loved being outdoors, whether he was out walking in the woods, fishing, or during his favorite time of the year: hunting season. He was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, becoming a member of the Knights of Columbus and reaching the rank of 4th Degree.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Ruthie; daughters, Sherry (Mark, Jr) Whitty and Patricia (Billy) Fountaine-Alderson; grandchildren, Frank (Cheyanne) Heisler IV, Dakota (Nikita) Heisler, Kiera (Edison) Vacacela and Rourwik Heisler; great-granddaughters Armanii and Scarlet; two brother-in-laws, two sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Alfred and Lottie; sister, Loretta Hannemann; parents-in-law, Patrick and Viola Hobbick; brother-in-law, Richard Hannemann; and sister-in-law, Sue Henke.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Redgranite. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the American Cancer Society or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
