OAK GROVE, LA - Funeral services for Geraldine Vining Irby, age 84 of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 2 PM on Monday, May 19, 2025 at First Church of God, 210 South Briggs Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Reverend Jonathan Williams will officiate.
Interment will follow in Red Wing Cemetery near Oak Grove.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove, Louisiana.
A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at First Church of God, 210 South Briggs Street in Oak Grove, Louisiana.
Mrs. Irby passed into eternal life on Friday, May 16, 2025 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles V. Irby; father, Theron Nash Vining; mother, Eva Mae (Grubbs) Irby; sister, Evetta Citrano; brother, Douglas Vining; and brother, Kenneth Vining.
Geraldine is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Heather Irby of Oak Grove, Louisiana; son, Joe Irby of Mer Rouge, Louisiana; son, Toney Irby of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Karen Irby of Oak Grove; 10 grandchildren. 8 great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Lavelle and Ella Dean Vining of Bastrop, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Huey and Dot Vining of Dubberly, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Flo Vining of Bastrop, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Lynette Vining of Sterlington, Louisiana; and sister, Diane Beam of Minden, Louisiana.
Pallbearers are her grandsons.
