Geraldine Letizia Obituary

Geraldine "Gerry" (Wheeler) Letizia, 76, of Bristol, wife of Charles Letizia passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025 at Ingraham Manor in Bristol after a long illness. Born on May 15,1949 in New Britain, CT, she was a daughter of the late Frank M. and Geraldine (Finnemore) Wheeler. Gerry worked for CV Mason Insurance Co. in Bristol for over 45 years, beginning as a clerk and working her way up to Personal Lines Manager. She was involved in many charities, including Prudence Crandall, and the Quota Club of Bristol where she served as President. In addition to her husband, Gerry leaves her two daughters Erin Vaughn of Bristol, CT and Amy Letizia and her husband Matthew Kozakewicz of Cromwell, CT; her brother Frank M. Wheeler, Jr., her sisters Theresa Gorski and her husband Wayne, and Ellen Wheeler; two grandchildren Cailin and Nick Vaughn, and many cousins, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Lloyd "Buddy" Wheeler, her son-in-law Brian Vaughn, and her brother-in-law John Seguin. Gerry loved spending time with her family, traveling to Cape Cod, London, France, California, New Mexico and many other places with Charlie, friends and family, Christmas Eve celebrations with family and friends, and enjoying a glass of wine on her deck overlooking her garden. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, at 12pm at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 10am to 12pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Broadview Fund, C/O Main Street Community Foundation, P.O.
