With profound love and sorrow, the family of Germaine "Gerry" De Chant ( Gdovin)
announces her passing on Sunday May 4, 2025 at the age of 86. A devoted wife,
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Germaine left this world peacefully
at home, surrounded by family and prayer.

Born August 28, 1938 in Lorain, Ohio, Germaine spent her life grounded in the
values of faith and family. Alongside her husband Charles, she raised their children
on the family farm. Gerry was a self-proclaimed dog lover and enjoyed
playing cards and games with her grandchildren.

Germaine was married to the love of her life Charles "Chuck" De Chant. Loving
mother to four children: Charlene of Sheffield Village, OH., David (Linda) of
Scottsdale, AZ., Steve (Stephanie) of Gilberts, Il., and Brian of Sheffield Village, OH.
Loving grandmother of Jennifer, Ross, Reid, Mallory, Ryan, Austin and Peyton.
Great-grandmother of Cayden. Devoted daughter to George and Julia Gdovin, dear
sister of Georgetta (Jerry) Jungbluth and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother George and Julia ( Slusny)
Gdovin, her husband Chuck, married for 53 years and beloved sons David and Brian.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 10, 2025 from 8:30 am until time
of funeral service at 10:00 am at the MISENCIK FUNERAL HOME, 36363 Detroit Rd.
Avon, followed by interment at St. Teresa of Avila Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

May her soul rest in the eternal peace of Christ.
