Ginger Lou Childers (nee Carpenter) Age 71. We are deeply saddened by her peaceful passing while surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Crichton, West Virginia to Samuel and Joyce Carpenter (both deceased) and was raised in Brook Park, Ohio. She was also a resident of Lake county for many years before returning to Brook Park.

Her warmth, generosity and humorous personality will live on in those that love her. She was an integral part of "The Carpenter Sisters" and "The Aunts" and will terribly missed. While our hearts are broken as we mourn our loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her beloved husband, Jimmie D. Childers (deceased).

She is survived by her children; Jimmie E. Childers, Jodi L. Childers and Jason D. (Amy) Childers. Grandchildren include, Kahla (Joe) Childers, Devin (Zoe) Childers and Savannah Childers. Great grandchildren include Carter, Kody, Kahlimah and Amir. Dearest companion to Clarence Koon.

Cherished sister of Roy E. (Linda) Carpenter, Shirley (Bob) Dougherty, Linda (Jim) Fowler, Diana (Don) Stark, Kathy (Peter Noll) Hough. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and dear friend to everyone that she met.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 14th, 11:00 a.m. at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas). Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
