Ginger Colleen Brewer Gupton ("Gigi") April 4, 1950 – July 6, 2025
Ginger Colleen Brewer Gupton, lovingly known as "Gigi," passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 75.
Born on April 4, 1950, in Nashville, Ginger was a woman of unwavering faith, fierce love, and an unshakable spirit. She lived a life marked by devotion: to her Lord, her family, and her calling to serve others. Whether she was teaching Bible study, mentoring children, volunteering, or simply sharing a kind word, Ginger carried the light of Christ into every room she entered.
Ginger had a firecracker personality - feisty and inspiring, full of humor, wisdom and grace. She was known for her Southern cooking (especially her famous cornbread dressing at Thanksgiving), her deep-rooted hospitality, and her stories of family visits to Alabama, where her mother was born and raised.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Mary Etta Lyons Brewer, and her husband Michael Wayne Gupton. She is survived by her daughter Colleen Vance, her son Tim (Ashley) Gupton, her grandchildren Emily (Frank) Miller and Oliver Gupton, her sister Cynthia Belue, her brother Durand (Jennifer Piper) Brewer, her best friend Jean Perdue, and countless loved ones who cherished her deeply.
To know Ginger was to know a woman whose faith moved mountains. She lived her life as a living testimony - always pointing others to Jesus, always willing to give, listen, teach, and pray. Her legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love.
She will be missed more than words can say, but we find peace in knowing she is finally home. Visitation with the family will be held at Boyd Funeral Home, 101 Elizabeth Street, Ashland City, TN on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4 - 8 PM, and Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10 AM - 12 PM, prior to the Funeral Service at 12 Noon, officiated by Pastor Ronnie E. Binkley. Serving as pallbearers will be : Tim Gupton, Ollie Gupton, Durand Brewer, Christian Brewer, Frank Miller, Heath Stamps, and John Smith, and Honorary Pallbearer Derek Breeding.
