Glen A. Bickett, 93, of Shadeland, IN passed away August 7, 2025 at Creasy Springs. He was born November 19, 1931 to the late Bernard and Doris (Toney) Bickett in Lafayette IN.

He was married to Katherine Shaw Bickett, at St Boniface Church on January 17, 1953.

She preceded him in death on October 7, 2020.

Glen graduated 8 th grade from St Boniface Catholic grade School and from Jefferson High School in 1950.

He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. During the Korean War.

He started his career as a Union Electrician with Local 668 and worked locally at TRW Ross Gear, Twin City Electric and retiring from Chrysler Kokomo in 2000.

Glen was also an Amateur Radio operator with letters K9ITX.

He was an avid bowler for many many years. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents and wife he was proceeded in death by 3 brothers Joe, Bob & Clarence and 2 sisters Lillian & Shirley. 1 granddaughter Michelle Bickett and great grandson Marvin Bird.

Glen is survived by daughter, Debra (James) VanLaere of Chalmers, IN and 3 sons, Bruce (Kimberly) of Flora, IN, Larry (Barbara) of Battleground, IN & Paul (Deanne) of Lafayette, IN.

Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, & 11 great great grandchildren and 1 due in December.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Lafayette, IN 47909. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette, IN.
