Glen Dillon Sr. Obituary

Glen Eugene Dillon Sr, age 84, of Lake Odessa, Michigan, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Thornapple Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 24, 1940, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Donald Ray and Marjorie Ethel (Watson) Dillon, both of whom preceded him in death. Glen relocated to Lake Odessa with his family while still in his youth, attended Lake Odessa schools, and married Helen Maxine Wilson on November 23,1969.

Glen was an avid Ohio State fan and when he was not rooting on the Buckeyes, you could find him attending classic car shows, watching professional wrestling, bowling, or enjoying the great outdoors. Glen worked at several egg processing facilities during his lifetime, including Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch and Cargill.

Glen is survived by his wife, Maxine Dillon; his children Glen (Jane) Dillon Jr of Alto, Robert (Corena) Dillon of Lake Odessa, Michael (Kecia) Dillon of Lake Odessa, and Dana (John) Whitecotton of Lake Odessa. He is also survived by his sister Ethel (Tom) Wilkinson of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, his aunt Lucy McWilliams of Springfield, Ohio, his son-in-law Burl Quick of Lake Odessa, his sister-in-law Pam Dillon of Gainesville, Florida, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including special grandchildren David (Lindsay) Schreiner, Kara (Megan) Willey, Brittney Dillon, and Damion, Ariana & Daniel Whitecotton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Quick; his siblings Paul Dillon, Donald “Junior” Dillon, Larry Dillon and Edie Hawley; his grandson Donald Dillon, his son-in-law Daniel Flood, and his brother-in-law Jack Hawley.

Glen’s family would like to extend a sincere expression of appreciation to the staff at Thornapple Manor Nursing Home. They are a talented group of caregivers who provided a great deal of comfort to Glen and the entire family during a difficult time.
