Glenda Elaine Hudgens, 77, of
Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on January 3, 2025. Born on July 31, 1947, in Harlingen, Texas, to Beverly and Glen Brown, Glenda was a proud South Texas native. She graduated from Harlingen High School in 1965 and later met the love of her life, Robert Earl Hudgens, on a blind date at the age of 17. They were married three years later, when Glenda was 20, and together they had two children: William Hudgens and Christina Hudgens, who was born in 1980 but tragically passed away after just three days.
Glenda was also a devoted and loving grandmother to Robert W. Hudgens (31) and Bradley A. Hudgens (29). She cherished every moment spent with them, always making time to share her love and guidance.
Throughout her life, Glenda was an active member of the community, contributing to the local arts and music scene. She was a proud member of the Sparkling City Chorus, part of The Sweet Adelines, where she shared her passion for singing and performing. Her voice and spirit were always a source of joy for those who knew her.
A woman of warmth, generosity, and deep love, Glenda will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends. She was a pillar of support and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Hudgens; son, William Hudgens, and his wife Kenia O. Hudgens; grandchildren, Robert and Bradley Hudgens; her twin sister, Linda Adrean; as well as numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
A celebration of Glenda's life will be held at a later date. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed. – We love you Meme
