GLENDA NOBLES PARCHMAN
Henderson, TN: Glenda Ann Nobles Parchman, age 76, passed away June 30, 2025, at her home.
She was born May 3, 1949, in Jacks Creek and raised in Jacks Creek, the daughter of the late Clarence Glenn and Dorothy Lorraine Rush Nobles. She graduated Chester County High School in 1967.
She married David Parchman on Sept. 25, 1967. They made their home in the Five Points Community in Chester County.
She worked for several garment factories as a seamstress in the area for several years and then also worked in shipping and receiving as a forklift operator at several other manufacturing places.
She enjoyed genealogy, canning and baking bread. She also enjoyed sewing and use to make a lot of doll clothes.
She was an active member of the Unity Baptist Church at Jacks Creek.
Mrs. Parchman is survived by her husband, David Glen Parchman of Pinson and a daughter, Paula Michelle Parchman Knight (Eddie) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Hunter Edward Knight, Summer Michelle Knight Barnett and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Parchman and three great grandchildren, Foster Edward Knight, Cooper Dakota Knight and Walker Lynn Barnett and special cousins that were like grandchildren to her, Tasha Nichols and Allen Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Paul Parchman.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 3rd at the Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday.
