Rondle D. King age 86 of Strunk, Kentucky passed from this life on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was born September 5, 1939 in Strunk, Kentucky to the late Earl King and Laura Mildred (King) King. In addition to his parents, Rondle is preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Sue Tucker; and brothers, Charles King and Wendell King.
Surviving family include his wife, Velma King; a son, Troy King (and Samantha); son-in-law, Ronald Tucker; grandchildren, Sarah Tucker, Kelsey King, and TJ King; great-grandchildren, Ryder Stephens and Mason Stephens; and a brother, Michael Wayne King.
Rondle was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He had worked as a school bus driver for the McCreary County School Board. At home, he enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and four-wheeling. Lazy was not in his vocabulary. You would always find him being active and tinkering with something. Rondle was a devoted family man, and he loved nothing more than his grandbabies. He will be deeply missed.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 8:00 pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Norman Burke and Bro. Mike Vanover officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday after 6:00 pm until service time. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Hill Cemetery.
