Glenna R. McNerney, 91 of Zanesville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on July 15, 2025, at Genesis Hospital.

She was born on November 26, 1933, in McConnelsville, Ohio, daughter of the late Jess Pierce and Ada Cubbison. Glenna was baptized at North Terrace Church of Christ and was a member of First Christian Church in Zanesville for many years. She enjoyed her cardinals and bird watching, caring for her flowers, and reading. Above all, she loved spending her time with her family and loved ones.

Glenna is survived by her 5 children: Gary (Charlene) McNerney, Gina (Howard) Milstead, Genette (Mickey) Spragg, George (Anna) McNerney, Gloria (Mike) Vandenbark; many many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; many bonus grandchildren; sister-in-law, Wilma (Daniel) Wolfe; special cousin, Norma Bagley; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; special companion, Rascal.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, George T. McNerney; brother, Earl Pierce; grandson, Robert McNerney; many brother and sister in laws.

The family would like to sincerely thank Genesis Hospital nurses and staff (4 South) for the love and care given to Glenna.

Calling hours will be held on Friday July 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Laureen Roe officiating. Burial will conclude services at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
