Born November 22, 1935, in Silsbee, Texas, she was a daughter of the late Arvie Hamilton and the late Essie Mae Mullins Hamilton. Mrs. Hobson attended Unity Baptist Church in El Paso, TX. She retired from the public school system in Texas and from the YWCA.
Survivors include six children, Terrell Lee (Janice), Joyce Lee, Joann Lee, Bruce Lee, Isaiah Lee, and Leslie L. Boykin (Alan); nine grandchilden, Tamara Lee, Raynette Lee, Elizabeth Yolanda Curtis, Gloria Curtis, Jonathan Lee, Keith Lee, Alicia Lee, Carl Lee, and Sarah Lee; three great grandchildren, Jeffery Lee, Kierra Lee, and Zenyah Lee; two sisters, Seawilla Armstrong and Jewel Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvie Hamilton, Jr. and Leon Hamilton; and a sister, Nettie Mae Garrett.
Services will be private.
