Gloria Long Obituary
Born November 8, 1947, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Grady Edward and Thelma Hicks Tate. Mrs. Long was a graduate of Clemson University and was a schoolteacher. She taught for 30 years, spending most of that time at Calhoun Elementary. Gloria was a gifted teacher and loved her students. She was a member of New Spring Church and loved sharing the love of Jesus with everyone.
Surviving is her husband of over 54 years, Jimmy Long of the home, sons: Jamey Long (Meredith), Jonathan Long, and Jordan Long; grandchildren: Ivy and Zoe Long; and sister, Gail T. Thomas (Louis).
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 17 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Stoney Abercrombie officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 100 Verdae Blvd, Suite 300, Greenville, SC, 29607.

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to Jimmy and the family. Gloria was a sweet, friendly, and Godly lady. She taught my son at Calhoun. Praying for God´s peace for all of you.
