Grace Sette Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 13, 2025.
Grace Agnes Sette, 91, of Mystic, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Carl Sette, who predeceased her in 1987.

Grace is lovingly remembered by her daughters Lisa Sette (Peter Shikany), Mia Sette, and Gina Sette; her cherished grandchildren Mia Segura (Nick Daniele), Narcissa Segura (Matt Tracy), and Carlie Wagner; and her great-grandson, Matteo Daniele. She was also loved by many wonderful nieces and nephews and their families.

Born in 1934, in New Rochelle, New York, Grace was the daughter of Anthony and Maria Saraco. She had two siblings: Diane (Tom) Kiely and the late Robert (Cathy) Saraco. She attended Briarwood College and went on to lead a vibrant life.

Grace had an eclectic career, including fur coat model, Executive Secretary, and, most memorably, concierge at Foxwoods Casino, where she was affectionately known as "Amazing Grace." Her zest for life was contagious. She was quick to laugh, loved a good lobster roll, and never passed up a chance to joke around.

She was a talented cook, grew cyclamen in the family bathtub and even recorded a CD of songs she performed, as music was one of her many joys. She adored tennis, especially watching her favorites, Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal, and was a devoted fan of Andrea Bocelli, Michael Amante, and, above all, Frank Sinatra, reading anything and everything about "Ol' Blue Eyes."

Grace's warmth, humor, and lively spirit will be deeply missed and long remembered by her loving family.

A private family burial will be held in Hamden, Connecticut.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Grace's memory by enjoying a scoop of her favorite ice cream, Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia.
