It´s with a very heavy heart that I learned today of the passing of a dear friend - someone I had the honor of working with back when I did breakfast at South Pointe. He was more than just a coworker; he was one of those rare people who could light up a room with his energy, his laugh, and his kindness. He was a true gentleman - hardworking, dependable, and always ready to share a smile or a story.
No matter where he was working, he´d always make it a point to stop by and catch up, letting me know what was going on and bringing a little bit of joy to my day. I used to joke that he and another coworker, James, looked like they were part of a jazz band - they dressed sharp and carried themselves with that smooth, cool vibe that made them stand out.
You will be deeply missed, my friend. Thank you for the laughs, the memories, and the warmth you shared with everyone around you. Rest easy - your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know you.

Grant worked as an on call here at MSU. He was always upbeat, smiling and ready to start the day in Bliss (Breakfast Nook area) every morning.
We had such great talks about the bread business while we were cutting bagels and getting the donuts out before we opened.
My heart is broken to hear of his passing. He will always have a spot in my heart.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Grant was a great man and employee. I got to work with him at Case Hall. He will be missed.
