Gregorio “Goyo” Zubiate, age 81, of Odessa, Texas, departed to be with the Lord Wednesday October 15, 2025, at Medical Center Hospital.
Goyo was born in Mexico to Jose Tarango Zubiate and Maria Trinidad Hernandez on May 9, 1944. He married Teodora G. Zubiate on June 1, 1970. For most of his life, he worked in the agricultural industry. Goyo will be remembered for leading the way as a hardworking and persevering individual who was cherished by his family and friends. He had a beautiful soul. Goyo had a fondness for traveling and always preferred to be on the move, keeping work at the top of his mind. Family time, socializing, forming new friendships, joking, and laughter were central to his life. Goyo encouraged many, often stating, “Animo! A que seguir adelante con el favor de Dios,” a hopeful statement to keep onward in God's favor. He frequently made an effort to help others, no matter the circumstance. We will always remember him and deeply miss him. We look forward to the day we will reunite with Dad again in our heavenly reunion with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
