A cherished member of Calvary Baptist Church since 2015, Gwen’s commitment to her faith was unwavering. Before joining Calvary, she spent nearly three decades attending Lyons Baptist Church. Her church family was an essential part of her life, and she found great joy in fellowshipping with her church group through their "Stone Soup" gatherings. Gwen was known for her warm smile and generous spirit.

Gwen enjoyed a variety of hobbies that reflected her creative spirit. She had a passion for baking, often delighting family and friends with her delicious cakes. A lover of the arts, she also enjoyed painting and dancing. Shopping brought her joy as well, offering a way to express her vibrant personality.

The joy of her life was undoubtedly her family, especially her grandchildren: Bethany, Natalie, and Daniel. Gwen took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, and showered them with love and encouragement, fostering strong bonds that will undoubtedly endure.

Gwen is survived by her son, Dean Belote, and his wife, Kirsten, and her cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind her niece, Brenda Cridland, along with numerous friends and family whose lives she touched in countless ways.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Belote, whom she married on September 14, 1962. Gwen also mourned the loss of her parents Harvey and Velma Skipper, and her three sisters: Irene Littlefield, Nelda Ramsey, and Gail Parish.

Pallbearers are Scott Dobbs, Dale Dobbs, Bill Burton, Bradley Burton, Keith Crim, and Daniel Belote.

Her legacy is one marked by unconditional love, a strong sense of community, and countless memories shared on peaceful afternoons spent on her back porch, sipping coffee, and watching the beauty of wildlife unfold around her. Gwen will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.

As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the light she brought into our lives.
