Harold Lee Calain, age 79 years, a resident of Bowden, WV, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Davis Medical Center. He was born December 15, 1945 in Bowden to late parents George L. Calain and Estie Tingler Calain. He was preceded in death by both parents; five brothers, George Calain, Jr., John Marshall Calain, Walter Calain, Randy Calain, and Donald Calain; one sister, Janet Baldassan; and his daughter, Shelly McWilliams. On July 22, 1977 in Baltimore, MD, he married Sue "Suzie" Calain who preceded him in death July 31, 2020. He is survived by two daughters, Kim Mellott of Atlanta, GA and Tina Hall of Lascassas, TN; two sons, Robert McWilliams of Marion, OH and Richard Clark of Atlanta, GA; and one sister, Linda Vance and her husband Bob of Elkins. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a special friend, Sue Harris. Harold worked as a truck driver for many years. He also owned and operated Calain's Restaurant and Tavern with his late wife Suzie. Harold's request for cremation will be honored with inurnment in the Calain Family Cemetery at Bowden at a later date.
