Harold Hoffman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Dewald Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. on Jan. 10, 2025.
Harold E. "Bud" Hoffman, 85, of Pequea, entered into rest at his home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Marlin E. and Dorothy M. (Noble) Hoffman. He was the loving husband of Patricia M. (Syms) Hoffman for 65 years.
Bud retired from PECO after 35 years of employment. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He and Patricia enjoyed traveling extensively around the country and around the world. Bud enjoyed annual trips to Ocean City, NJ with his family. He was a dedicated Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan. Also, Bud was a member of Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church and was a 50-year member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He belonged to the Pequea Valley Sportsman's Assoc. Above all, Bud loved spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren play sports, and being outdoors.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 children: Matthew Hoffman, Connie Carney (Scott), and Linda Shaeffer (Joe); grandchildren: Zac (Jess), Rayna (Chris), Dylan (Cassie), and Luke; and great grandchildren, Jaxon, Connor, and Makenna. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Community Care for the care Bud received throughout his illness.
A private family service will take place with Pastor John Hartman officiating.
