Roxana:
Harold Redenbo, 90, passed away at 7:42 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on April 24, 1935, in Roxana, the son of the late Ward A. and Mary E. (Woods) Redenbo. He married Mildred "Millie" Withers on November 26, 1966, in East Alton, and she preceded him in death on January 6, 2014. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Deana and Tom Brinkley of Rosewood Heights, and his beloved granddaughter, Emily Brinkley, as well as his extended family and friends.
Harold was formerly employed with the Roxana Community Unit School District #1 as a custodian for 35 years. Harold was a Roxana Shell Superfan and had his own reserved seat at Charles Raich Field. He had the honor of tossing the coin last year at the Shells Senior Night football game. Harold was the first Parade Marshal for the Roxana Homecoming Parade.
Harold loved his Roxana Library family where he would visit daily to drink coffee, read the paper and talk with everyone who came in, both young and old.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Thurston and Nellie LaPearl (infant).
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastor Phil Warren and Pastor Dan Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
Memorials are suggested to the Roxana Public Library or the Roxana High School Athletic Department and will be accepted at the funeral home.
