Harold Wayne "Butch" Trotter born on August 22, 1942 in Oakland, California to Winford and Ruby (Palmer) Trotter. He passed away on September 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends all knew him as "Butch". He graduated from Milburn High School and married Norma June McGlocklin, the love of his life in 1960. After getting a bachelor's and master's Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, he began teaching school in Nida, Oklahoma. He was a teacher, coach, and bus driver at Nida Schools until the school consolidation forced him to go to Mead Schools, then to Silo Public Schools where he served as the Elementary Principal and a coach for over 30 years in that district. He was considered a great coach, teacher and principal by all his teaching peers and past students alike. Butch was an avid hunter, fishermen and domino player. He loved being outdoors and watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Kansas City Chiefs football games. He loved playing moon with his children and grandchildren.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Winford "Hot Shot" and Ruby Trotter; wife, Norma June Trotter.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories are his daughters, Rhonda Phillips of Bokchito, OK, Carla Harmon of Durant, OK, Stephanie Davis of Silo, OK; sons, Stacey Trotter and wife Lori of Ankeny, IA, Barry Trotter and wife Robin of Elk City, OK; sister, Marsha Scribner of Moore, OK; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other family and friends who will deeply miss him.
Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Harold "Butch" Wayne Trotter will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024 at the Silo Baptist Church in Silo, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, Oklahoma. A family hour will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home. Those serving as pallbearers will be Robby Elkins, Scott Pratt, Chad Bradley, John Amlin, James McGlocklin and Brandon Whiten. Arrangements were made under the direction and care of DeArman-Clark Funeral Home.
