Haywood Moore, Jr.
December 1, 1948 - July 28, 2025
"Fult "
"Whoever Liveth and Believeth in Me Shall Never Die" ~ John 11:26

Haywood Moore, Jr., the son of Haywood Moore, Sr. and Sallie Mae Bostick Moore, was born on December 1, 1948, in Raeford, North Carolina. He lived there until 1985 when he, seeking employment as a farm worker, relocated to Madison, Florida. Forty years later, he remained a resident of the area.

Haywood joyfully accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was baptized by faith and became a member of Emmanuel Holiness Church in Candor. His personal mission was to stand on the promises of God and to treat others with Christlike compassion.

Haywood was down to earth, kind, caring, loving, and free-hearted. He generously helped anyone in any way he could without expecting anything in return. His father once remarked, "If his head was not attached to his body, he would give that away, too." He was family oriented; he loved his North Carolina siblings and family just as he loved his Florida family. He loved his grandchildren and taught them lessons in courtesy and respect. He created fond memories such as their lawnmower rides to McDonald's for treats. Most of all, he had a close bond with his grandson who became his caregiver, Jarquise, whom he taught to be an honorable young man.

In his younger days, Haywood (also known as "Fult") played baseball with the local teams during his free time. However, as he matured in years, he enjoyed taking relaxing rides around the community in his older model cars that he kept detailed. He cautioned anyone about leaning on them or leaving smudges on them.

Until his health began to decline, Haywood looked forward to continuing his employment at Superior Trees, Inc. in Lee, Florida. He was a hard worker who enjoyed being on the team with his coworkers and the peace that only outdoors provided.

Haywood Moore, Jr. had blessed peace with his Lord so near. He answered the Master's call on Monday, July 28, 2025, departed this earthly life, and transitioned to his eternal home.

Another leaf from the Moore family tree as fallen in the sands of time. In it, Haywood Moore, Jr.'s legacy of peace, generosity, and love will be embedded in his loved ones' hearts. Those who will miss him until they meet again are his son: Bobby Ray (Claudia) Everett of High Point, NC; daughters: Carmelitha Miller of Asheboro, NC and Annie Moore of High Point, NC; sisters: Rachel Everett of Candor NC, Josephine Jones of West End, NC, Esther Amos of Biscoe, NC, and Annie (John) Gardner of Candor, NC ; bonus daughters: Kosher Rowe and Yolanda Bryant of Madison, FL; bonus sons: Johnny Verdell, II, Jimmy Bryant, and Gabriel Verdell of Madison, FL; grandson/caregiver loved as a son: Jarquise Robinson of Madison, FL and adopted grandson: Javion Bryant; along with a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, sorrowing friends, and compassionate coworkers.

Preceding Haywood Moore, Jr. in death were his parents: Haywood Moore, Sr. and Sallie Mae Bostick Moore; daughter: Sallie Jane Moore; brothers: Thomas Moore, Alonzo Moore, and Ben Moore; sisters: Della Biggs and Sallie Jane Moore (who died in infancy); and his companion of 40+ years: Willie Marie Cherry Bryant.
