Helen Rosalie Petit Melancon passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was 84.
Beloved wife of the late Jerry Joseph Melancon. Mother of Brenda Folse (late Weldon) , Alvin (Sheri), Michael (Crystal) and Troy (Pam) Melancon. Grandmother to Jennifer Folse, Jonathan Folse (Jeanne) and Summer, Easton (Hannah), Kaleigh, Chance (Olivia), Leah, Macy, Rachael, Beau and Brady Melancon. Great Grandmother to Jayda and Jaylee Verdin, Kennedy and Kaden Folse and one on the way. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Saul Anthony Petit and Eve Marie Friloux Petit, her brothers Stanley, Alvin and Gerald Petit, her sister Rebecca Petit Adams and her grandson Reed Melancon.
Helen was a member of the RSVP Advisory Board and the Busy Bee’s club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St Mark’s Church, 10771 River Rd, Ama, LA on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment to immediately follow at St. Charles Mausoleum, 1279 Paul Maillard Rd, Luling, LA.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of both the Ochsner’s Hospice Unit and Compassus Hospice care.
