Helen G. Ziegler, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Cindi's Love and Care in New Waterford.
Born on October 9, 1936, in Georgetown, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Reckner and Katherine Newlun Webber.
Helen was a proud homemaker who raised a family of nine children. She was strong, capable, and tireless, always striving to improve everything around her.
In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, dancing, doing word searches, and playing bingo. She is survived by her children: John Coleman (Charlene), Kathy Hall (Scott Strachan), Phyliss Yoko (Michael), Roy "Tex" Coleman, Diana Greenawald (Dale), Donna Waltz (Steve), Jeanette Chisom (Denver), Mary Jane Coleman (Roger Quarterman), and Troy Coleman (Rhonda Leslie); her step-children: Roylee, David, and Fred Ziegler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Chuck Reckner (Maggie Smith), Billy Reckner, Doug Reckner (Becky), Diane Handy (Shane), Jean Reckner, Jenny Cyphers (Bobby), and Barb Fulmer. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, John Coleman; her second husband, Roy Ziegler; and her siblings: James "Joe" Reckner, Mary Savina, Patty Duffield, and Calvin "Butch" Reckner. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jim and Cindi Rockhold for their outstanding care.
Pastor Ken Manypenny will celebrate Helen's life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at the Arner Funeral Chapel at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 21, 2024, from noon to 2:00 PM and again from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
