Bryant - Henry Willard Bryant, Jr., known as Buddy, age 84, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Buddy is rejoicing in heaven with his beautiful wife, Patsy, who he has deeply missed for the last 10 years. The two shared 55 years of marriage and built a family that is continuing to grow. Buddy was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, known to his family as Papa. He loved his country and proudly served in the United States Army 7th Infantry Airborne Division where he received numerous recognitions. Buddy was retired from National Can. He also enjoyed many things such as hunting, fishing, racing, hitting the casino, the Florida Gators and watching his great grandson play ball.
Buddy will be missed dearly by his children, Rhonda Hewett (Rick), Vonda Eddy, Tonya Greentree (Jimmy), and Bryan "Bubba" Bryant (Amy); grandchildren, Jeffrey Eddy (Heather), Kayla Hewett, Amanda Gregg (Josh), Kasey Dull (Colt), Madison Tidwell (Jason), Abby Greentree, Alyson Greentree, and Ryker Bryant; and great-grandchildren, Brady, Adley, Rowyn, Braylee, Benson, Cooper, Kymber, Peter, Harper, Rhyatt, Blakelyn and Drue; brother, Wayne Bryant (Lynette) and other family members including Brandon Brown, Mason Richardson and Kaylee Gregg.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Eddy, Jason Tidwell, Josh Gregg, Brady Gregg, Colt Dull, and Drew Peterson.
The tribute above was prepared by Buddy's loving family.
A Celebration of Buddy's Life will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Pruitt and Pastor Phillip Crump officiating. Interment will follow at Dinsmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011.
