Henry "Hank" Krzyzanowski Jr. (82) passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service, dedication, and quiet strength. He was born August 13, 1942, in Goffstown, New Hampshire, to Henry Stanley Krzyzanowski and Antoinette Anne (Marchetti). As the son of a career Army serviceman, Hank's early life was shaped by frequent moves across the country and in Europe, eventually settling at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, New York. Following his high school graduation, Hank proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His top-secret clearance led him to serve on a highly classified team inside NORAD's ENT Command and Control Center, where he helped monitor the Cuban Missile Crisis during its tense 13-day standoff. After his military service, Hank made Colorado Springs his home. He married Susan Jill Macy, and together they had two sons, Kenneth and Timothy. Later in life, he married Vay Ann Smith and welcomed his daughter, Dionda. Transitioning to civilian life Hank began a long and fulfilling career at the Broadmoor Hotel, where he ultimately served as the Beverage Manager for the resort's prestigious golf clubs. His tenure at the Broadmoor spanned 32 years. Following his retirement, he moved to Cripple Creek, Colorado, where he embarked on a second career in the newly legalized casino industry. He worked in the field for another 14 years before retiring once again. In his final chapter, Hank relocated to Torrington, Wyoming, to be closer to the family of his beloved wife, Sandi. Never one to remain idle for long, he joined Diversified Services as a job coach and later oversaw operations at the Recycling Center. When the facility transitioned to city management, Hank continued serving the community through his work in the maintenance department at Eastern Wyoming College, before ultimately embracing full retirement. Hank was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jeannie (Malvaso). He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandi; his sons, Kenneth (Shannon) and Timothy (Patty); his daughter, Dionda (Doug); and his sister, Nancy (Smith). He will be remembered for his deep sense of duty, his unwavering work ethic, and the enduring kindness he showed to all who knew him. Per his request, no services are planned. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com.
