Henry Thurstin Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father, Henry (Hank) Albert Thurstin III. Born on January 12, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, Hank passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 68 in his home in Centennial, Colorado.
Hank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Gale; his sister, Carol; his children, Brian (Anne) and Carla (Andrew); and his cherished grandchildren, Peter and Evan. His family was the center of his world, and he never missed an opportunity to share his love, wisdom, and humor with those closest to him.
Hank had a deep passion for Volvos, spending countless hours tinkering with them and searching for hidden treasures in junkyards. His love for photography captured the beauty in everyday moments, and his adventurous spirit led him to explore new places whenever he could. Whether behind the lens or under the hood of a car, Hank approached life with curiosity, skill, and a twinkle in his eye.
Even in the face of his many illnesses, Hank never lost his sense of humor or his love for the simple joys in life. His resilience and enduring spirit were an inspiration to all who knew him.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering support, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the love he shared.
A celebration of Hank's life will be held at Fairmount Cemetery on April 25, 2025, at 11am with a reception to follow from 12pm to 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Colorado Center For the Blind or St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
