Herman Bush Obituary

Herm Bush of Westford, MA, was welcomed into heaven on Sunday, July 27th, 2025. He stood tall in our lives as a wonderful man, fervent son, faithful husband and best friend, loving and nurturing Dad, and forever an encouraging and inspiring Papa- or as we all called him, our "Pops."

His love ran deep, and his heart reached deeper still as he loved, cared for, and respected everyone he ever met. His caring nature and respect for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Longtime resident of Owego, NY, Herm retired as an electrical engineer from Lockheed Martin. As an avid outdoorsman, and a faithful trustee at the Owego First Church of the Nazarene, Herm was always enjoying life and blessing others any time he could. As a member of Lowell First Church of the Nazarene (Lowell, MA) more recently, and a faithful follower of Christ, he saw this as the least he could do in response to the grace of God and the love of Jesus in his own life.

Herm is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Vicky Lynn (nee Woods); his daughter, Melanie (& her husband, Rev. Dr. John V. Megyesi of Lowell, MA); three adored grandsons, Brendan, Liam & Riley; his parents, Herman S. & Margaret Bush (of Tonawanda, NY); his sister, Patricia (& her husband, Harold Woods of Owego, NY); and a large extended family, countless friends and dear colleagues throughout the years.

There is no question he will be missed, for he took care of us with all he had. He made sure we always had what we needed most: love, faith, and family. We will miss him, but are so grateful that God gave us such a wonderful man, husband, Dad, and Pops to share our lives with. His presence brought warmth and joy to our lives, and we will forever be grateful for that.

With deep gratitude from his family to Dolan Funeral Home for their assistance in this tender time, we share that there will be a private, graveside service held for him on October 11th, at the Acacia Park Cemetery, time tbd.
