Hildegard Krzepisz Obituary

Hildegard (Hilda) Krzepisz, age 95, passed away peacefully at her home in Stuart, Florida, on June 1, 2025, with her daughter by her side.
Hilda was born in Worms, Germany, on June 7, 1929. Despite hardships she endured growing up during World War II, she emerged with a resilient spirit, a sharp mind, and a bright sense of humor that never dimmed.
After the war, she attended business school and began working as a secretary for the German railway. Later, she continued her professional life in North America as a skilled bookkeeper-a role she took pride in throughout her working years. She married Henryk Krzepisz in 1954, and together they emigrated to Canada in 1956, then to the United States soon thereafter. They eventually settled in Sewall's Point, Florida, in 1979.
Hilda was an avid reader, a lover of classic films, and a passionate follower of current events. She never stopped learning, and she loved to travel. In later years, she shared many of her favorite adventures with her daughter and best friend. When not on the move, she cherished quiet moments by the ocean, often lost in a thriller or memoir.
Warm and empathetic, Hilda had a natural gift for making others feel seen and heard. Her smile could light up a room. Her wit was quick, often wicked, and always endearing. She brought comfort to those who needed it and joy to those lucky enough to know her.
She loved animals, flowers (especially roses), and, above all, her family and friends. To those who knew her, she was a source of light, laughter, and strength. Her presence was a blessing, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Hilda is preceded in death by her parents, Helene and Philipp Maier, and by her beloved husband, Henryk Krzepisz. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Krzepisz.
