Frances Squires Gaddy, age 90, of Tuscaloosa, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, a day that forever changed the lives of those who loved her. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from Tuscaloosa Memorial Park, with Rev. Billy Gray officiating.
Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her life was defined by unconditional love, unwavering support, and quiet strength. She faced every challenge with courage and grace and devoted her life to caring for others. Her kindness and selflessness touched all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on her family and community.
Mrs. Gaddy was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Gaddy, and her daughter, Virginia Ann Williams Mills. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Williams Galloway (Gary), and sons Robert L. Wiliams, Jr. (Monica) and Steven Mark Williams; grandchildren James Mills, Jamie Galloway Bissot, Emily Galloway Strong, Klaus Williams, John Paul Williams, Billy Williams, and Steven Williams; sister Elizabeth Jean Squires Childers; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will continue to cherish her memory.
Her family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers who loved and supported her throughout the years, especially those at Hamrick Highlands, Martinview Assisted Living, and Heritage Healthcare.
Donations in her memory may be made to Heritage Healthcare in appreciation of the compassionate care she received.
