Hope Vaughn Obituary

Hope Melinda (Free) Vaughn, age 64, of Muleshoe, Texas, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in Muleshoe. She was born September 21, 1960 in Littlefield, Texas to Bobby and Bennie Sue (Welch) Free. She married Larry Vaughn in Lubbock on May 27, 2004.
Hope was a twirler in high school. She loved Nascar and fast cars, even driving the wheels off of her jeep. She also went to Texas Motor Speedway every year. Hope enjoyed riding and showing horses as well. She was a huge fan of game shows and the old TV shows, like Golden Girls and Reba. Hope loved her cats, bird watching and drinking Diet Cokes. She listened to Pink Floyd and similar music. Kids would love it when she took them on 4-Wheeler rides. Hope had a deep faith. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bennie Sue Free.
Hope is survived by her husband, Larry; her father, Bobby Free and his wife, LaQueta; her sister, Faith Free Lewis and her husband, Gerald of Shallowater, Texas; her brother, Grady Free and his wife, Julia of Muleshoe, Texas; and many 4-legged children, mainly cats.
