Irven Arthur Ogden, III passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025. Irv was born on August 18, 1964 to Irven A. Ogden Jr. and Marilyn Kay (Williams) Ogden in Enid, OK.
Irv was a man of many achievements. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America throughout his youth. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in December of 1978. He graduated from Enid High School in 1982. After his high school graduation, he moved to Alva to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University. While he was studying Agri-business he met his bride, Deborah (DeeDee) Grace. They married in March of 1986. They moved to Enid, OK and in December of 1991 they welcomed their daughter Kayla. In February of 1996 a son, Hadley, completed their family. Irv always said that having a family was his greatest achievement.
Irv was always working and wore many hats throughout his life. He trimmed trees, worked for the family business, sold parts and tractors for Ford-New Holland, a parts man at Jensens, for Hamm and Phillips he drove a truck transitioning to parts, and owned two businesses: Irv's Service Company and Cowpokes. He also loved his community, serving on the City of Fairview's City Council.
He is survived by his wife DeeDee, children Kayla and Hadley Ogden, his mother Marilyn Ogden, mother-in-law Judy Grace, his siblings, a slew of nieces and nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father Irven Ogden Jr., father-in-law Bud Grace, and his grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to the costs of his memorial.
The family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. The celebration of life will be held on 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor James Suderman and Pastor Travis Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Fairview. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
