Irvin Lafleur Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Irvin LaFleur will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at The Sanctuary Assembly of God, Bunkie, with Reverend Billy Tingle officiating. Interment will follow in Griffin Hill Cemetery, St. Landry, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. LaFleur, 88, of Bayou Chicot, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 27, 2025, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was a loving husband and father. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and cooking for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by one son, Blake LaFleur; and his parents, Aubin and Mattie LaFleur.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty-one years, Mary LaFleur of Bayou Chicot; one brother-in-law, Emery Soileau (Jaslen) of Bayou Chicot; three nephews, Greg Soileau (Lisa) of Eunice, Blaine Soileau of Eunice, and Chuck Soileau of Lafayette; and numerous great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at The Sanctuary Assembly of God, Bunkie, on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Greg Soileau, Blaine Soileau, Chuck Soileau, David Messer, Drake Soileau, and Alexandria Davidson.
