Monetta - Funeral services for Johnnie Leo DuBose Jr, 89, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Vollie Gibbs and the Rev. Bill Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, Batesburg Camp, P. O. Box 2149, Leesville SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. DuBose passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in Bishopville, he was a son of the late Johnnie Leo DuBose Sr. and Sue May Burnett DuBose. He served in the SC National Guard for 8 years, had a lengthy career in sales and as an entrepreneur. Mr. DuBose was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, a dual life member of the Sinclair (154) and Travis (241) Masonic Lodges, and was a co-founder of the Gideons International Batesburg Camp.

Surviving are his wife, Becky DuBose; sons, Johnnie L. DuBose III, Lew DuBose, and Trent DuBose; daughter, Rebecca DuBose (Byron); grandchildren, Troy, Darby, Dalton, Zack, Jack and Daisy; 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Burnett DuBose.
