Jack L. Bell, 90, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, entered into rest on August 8, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born on December 6, 1934, Mackey, Indiana to the late Lester and Eva Bell (Garrison).

Jack was very passionate about his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He loved being on the river and hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spoiling his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. He had a knack for woodworking building numerous bird houses.

A short time after graduating from high school and helping his father farm, Jack made the decision to enlist in the United States military. In 1954 until 1974, Jack served his country joining the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant. Once retired from the Air Force, Jack went to work for Amax-Kingsburg underground coal mine until he retired in 1993.

Jack is survived by loving wife of 34 years, Diane Bell; son, Bill Bell; stepsons, Rick Dyer, Tim Dyer, and Mark Dyer; 9-Grandkids, 13-Great Grandkids, and 6-Great Great Grandkids; 9-Step Grandkids, 12-Step Great Gandkids, and 3-Step Great Great Grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Eva Bell; daughters, Debbie Bell, Trina McLain, Shirley Bell, and Nina Mathias.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 11 AM until 2 PM. Service will be held at 2 PM with Pastor Gene Burkhart officiating. Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Francisco, Indiana.
