Jack Jackson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jack Jackson, affectionately known as "Ack" a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on June 20, 2025, at the age of 75. Jack was born on May 12, 1950, in Colquitt, Georgia, and spent many cherished years in Lake Bird, Florida, where he cultivated a life filled with laughter, love, and a passion for the simple joys of life.
Jack was a talented mechanic by trade, known not only for his exceptional skills in the automotive industry but also for his warm spirit and sense of humor. He brought smiles to those around him, often lightening the mood with his quick wit and playful jokes. Jack's hands were as skilled in woodworking as they were in repairing vehicles, allowing him to create beautiful pieces that will forever hold a place in the hearts of his family.
For twelve wonderful years, Jack and his wife Faye owned the Shady Grove store, becoming beloved members of their community. Together, they built not just a business, but lasting friendships and memories that enriched their lives and the lives of those they served.
A passionate fisherman, Jack found joy in spending his days catching mullet and red fish, often sharing stories of his adventures on the water. After sharing his stories, he was ready to call the family for an outdoor fish fry. His love for nature and the outdoors reflected his heartfelt appreciation for life.
He is preceded in death by his parents Sydney and Fannie Jackson, his father-in-law James Horton, his sister Sue Yates, his brother Roy Jackson, and his brother-in-law Gary Horton.
Jack is survived by his loving spouse of 56 years Faye Jackson, who will carry his spirit with her always. He is also survived by his daughter Lisa and her husband Tim Noles, four grandchildren Chris and his wife Lynn Ricketson, Ashley and her husband Stephen Brock, Jackie and her husband T.J. Murphy, and Hannah and her husband Kevin Young, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his mother-in-law Jewel Horton "Nanny", his sister-in-law Brenda and her husband Leland Carlton, and his best friend Bella "Dog". He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A Funeral Service will be held in his honor on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Lake Bird Methodist Church with a public visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Services will be officiated by Pastor Wallace Holmes and Pastor Billy Gipson.
In this time of sadness, let us cherish the joyful memories of Jack Jackson, whose laughter and kindness will forever echo in our hearts.
