Jackie Carl Dyer, 86, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Ringgold, Georgia.
Born on November 10, 1938, Jackie was a graduate of Carter High School in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. He dedicated 32 years of service to the Rohm and Haas Company, where he built a long and steady career.
A devoted member of both Oakland Baptist Church and First Baptist of Ringgold, Jackie found great joy in his faith and especially loved singing gospel music. His deep connection to his church communities was a meaningful part of his life.
Jackie was a loving husband, father, and “Pappy.” He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jo Ann (Arden) Dyer; his brother Jerry Dyer and wife Mary; daughters Tammy Dyer Wiggs and Lisa Faltesek; son Ernie Dyer; grandchildren Katelyn, Ryan, and Aaron; and two great granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Edna Dyer, and his sister Beulah Sharp.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Oakland Baptist Church in Rutledge at a time and date to be announced later.
