He was a truck driver, veteran of the United States Army and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. He loved working in the yard and mowing on his John Deere riding lawn mower, reading, cooking on the grill and fixing breakfast.
He leaves his wife, Anita Gage Hewitt of Friendship; sons, Cary Hewitt of Friendship, Jackie Hewitt of IL; sisters, Virigina McGee and Little Joyce Hewitt of La Cygne, KS; grandchildren, Keith, Courtney, Caitlin, Charlie, Corallynn, Darryl; 22 great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Tri-Ko Inc. and may be sent in care of Schneider Funeral Home P.O. Box 525 Pleasanton, Kansas 66075
