Funeral Service for Jacqueline Judith Beetam, 62, of New Effington, SD, will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Ascension Presbyterian Church, Big Coulee, SD, at 2:00 P.M. with CRE Gerald Heminger Jr. officiating. There will be All-Night Wakes on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, and Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Big Coulee District Center, Peever, SD, starting at 7:00 P.M. Pianist will be Billy Kohl. Pall Bearers will be William Wozna, Joseph Wozna, Chauncey Hill, Moe Palmier, Paul White, Prescott St. John, Punchy Hill, Brian Beetem, Zach Hill, Keith Gipson, Cameron Charboneau, and Jeff Block. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Allizah Chaney, Les King & Family, Bobbi DuMarce, Tim & Angie, Brewer Family of Pine Ridge, Nathan Hill, Carlos Kitto & Lahoma King, Pasha Renville & Family, Phelps Family of Rapid City, Nowell Renville & Family, Katie Hill & Family, Ruth Hill & Family, Nolita Hill & Family, Delroy Hill, Mni-yeta Hill & Family, Liz Hill & Family, and All of Her Friends & Family. Interment will be at the Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery in Big Coulee, SD. The Cahill Funeral Chapel,

Jacqueline Judith Beetem was born on July 18, 1962 to John and Evelyn (White) Beetem in Madison, MN. After completing high school in Rapid City, Jacqueline lived in Colorado Springs where she obtained a bachelor's degree online in Business Management from Northern Arizona University. From there, she made her home in New Effington, SD. Jacqueline worked many jobs over the years including food service, hospice care, a traveling saleswoman for the Lakota Times newspaper, a cleaning company owner, Supervisor at DMC Foods Dept., and Manager of Marketing at the Dakota Connection. Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoyed playing cards and dice, helping others, playing board games with family, attending pow-wows, tribal history restoration, and reading, She was a Denver Broncos fan and enjoyed the casinos. Also, Jacqueline was a Christian and Spiritual woman and had a good sense of humor. Jacqueline passed away on July 5, 2025, at the Stanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.
Jacqueline is survived by her children William "Aaron" Wozna III of Rapid City, SD, Joseph Wayne Wozna of Englewood, CO, and Tasha Nacole Wozna of Denver, CO; brother Bob Beetem of
Sisseton, SD; nieces Red Dawn Renville of
Sisseton, SD and Emma Renville of
Sisseton, SD; nephews Brian Beetem of Pine Ridge, SD, and Keith Gipson-Beetem of Florida; grandchild Alizzah Chaney of New Effington, SD; aunts Ruth Hill of
Sisseton, SD, Lois Lundberg of Alexandria, MN and Katie Hill of Long Hollow, SD; uncles Tom(Rita) Beetem of Rapid City, SD, and Nathan Hill of Peever, SD.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Evelynn (White) Beetem; brother Brian Beetem; infant sister Lisa Beetem; sister Julie Nelson; maternal grandparents Paul White Turtle and Josephine LaPointe; paternal grandparents John Beetem and Hazel Lundberg.
