Jacqueline A. Gibson, 66, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, after visits from family & friends. Jacqui, as she was known to most, was born in Lincoln, NE to John & Genevieve West on September 1, 1958.

Jacqui will be largely remembered as a lover of animals. Growing up, she showed dogs traveling all over the Midwest with her mom. While married to her first husband Wayne, they raised rabbits. She worked on several farms throughout the years. After having kids and moving to Steele City, she started a farm of her own, having any pet you could think of.

As her kids grew up her focus moved more toward turtles and tortoises. Towards the end of her life, she was working on rescuing and rehabilitating special breeds of turtles and tortoises. She would often be seen driving around in her green 'Torts' plated car and was known as Grandma Turtle to her grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Jeff, married on March 17, 2006, her son Tobias West-Lesher, her daughter Genevieve (Erin) Snider & husband Chris Snider, her daughter Ashliegh West & husband Bob Seo, her son Joshua West-Lesher, her sister Pam West, her brother Rod West & wife Kim Son. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Cyris, Benjamin, Genevieve (Cirilla), Samuel, and Andromeda.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
