Jake Edward Miller was born on October 8, 1987, in Santa Maria, CA, to parents Robert "Bob" Miller and Karen Coderre. He was raised in Edgewood and graduated from Edgewood High School with the class of 2005. After high school, Jake moved to Oak Cliff in Dallas, where he lived out his dream of becoming the best, most handsome bartender and mixologist in the business. An outgoing and tender soul, Jake lived life to the fullest, loved deeply, and cultivated a circle of die-hard friends who stayed by his side no matter the circumstances.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Jake is survived by his father and stepmother Bob and Vicky Miller, brother Nick Miller, and sister Kristi Goode of Edgewood; mother Karen Coderre of Naples, FL; sister Laura Miller and her husband Adam Kullberg of Denver, CO; his aunts Jennifer Miller and Marilyn Miller of Palmer Lake, CO, and many other family members and friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
