ABBEVILLE- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home-Abbeville honoring the life of James Jerrell “Woody” Christopher, 66, who passed away on November 7, 2024 at Eastridge Nursing Center. Pastor Kevin Williams will officiate the services and James will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery at a later date.
A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home-Abbeville, 209 S. Saint Charles St., on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
He is survived by his children, James Pittman, Christopher Fauntleroy Sr., LaQuita Pittman, and Destiny Milton; mother, Essie Christopher Hammond; siblings, Jerry Johnson, Shirley Hammond, and Lisa Hammond; 19 grandchildren, Justin, Jamarus, Tamara Lewis, Casiopao Malveaux, Christopher Fauntleroy Jr., Christian Fauntleroy, Ariyan Berotte, Quiton Marshall, Tyrinn Andrews, Trinity Readom, Logan, Amori, and Jayci Milton, Derrian, Dakota, Khol, Bailey, and Rhayne Fauntleroy, Lawan and Devyn Perro; 7 great-grandchildren, Josiah, Jaceon, Javareus, Jha Cari, and Jaliya Lewis, Bryce Tate, Journey Pittman; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
