James Cody Hosmer, Obituary

James Cody Hosmer, age 34, of West Blocton, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly. Born on March 11, 1991, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Cody spent most of his life in West Blocton, where he was known for his outgoing nature, strong work ethic, and love for both people and animals. Cody is survived by his loving parents, James Robert "Jimmy" Hosmer and Sherry Renee Hosmer; his devoted sister, Misty Renee Hosmer; his daughter, Savannah Hosmer; and a host of nieces and nephews who brought great joy to his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dawna and Robert Hosmer, and Wanda Layton, all of
whom he held close to his heart. A hardworking man, Cody made his career in air conditioning and mechanical work. He had a passion for fixing things and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, being
outdoors, and spending time with animals. Cody's life, though far too short, was filled with laughter, love, and countless memories that will be treasured by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. "For I am sure that neither death nor life… nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:38–39
