James "Jim" F. Czerkas, of Stone Ridge passed away on June 11, 2025. Jim was 66 years old. He was born on November 26, 1958 to Alice Morse Czerkas and Joseph Czerkas in Ellenville, NY. He was a loving companion, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved going camping and walking with his dog. Jim had a joy for finding so many interesting things at auctions and yard sales. He was a collector of many different things. Jim found most of his happiness in being around the people he loved and spending time with his dog. Jim was predeceased by his mother, Alice Czerkas, father, Joseph Czerkas, brother, Carr Hummel (sister in law Frances Hummel), nephew, Michael Dubois and brother in law Jake Krom. Jim is survived by his common law wife Cassandra Thaule, stepson, Connor Thaule, his children, James Czerkas (Ashley), Carrie Catizone (Frank), Stephanie Czerkas and Jocelyn Czerkas, sisters Veda Krom, Bridget Dubois (Michael) and Carolyn Bragman Kagan (Diane), brother Tony Czerkas (Annette), grandchildren, Alyssia, Jaylen, Frankie, Xaiver, Paiton, Amara, Jabez and Ivee, his very best friend, his beloved dog Freya, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation was held privately.
