James "Jim" Dennler, 74, of Elgin, Iowa died Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Maple Crest Manor, Fayette, Iowa. He was born March 16, 1951 to Leo and Mary (Goodin) Dennler in Postville, Iowa.
Jim often told stories of spending time at his grandparent's filling station at the corner near the Methodist Church in Elgin. He spent many years helping the janitors at the Elgin and Valley Schools, working for area farmers baling hay, working hogs and helping haul cream and corn. Jim operated a successful lawn mowing and snow moving business with his much-loved John Deere Tractor.

Jim was a life-long member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was involved with changing banners, ushering and moving tables and chairs.
Preceding Jim in death were his parents; sister, Linda and two siblings at infancy.
