On March 6, 1943, James was born to James and Irene Donley in West Frankford, Illinois.
He attended college, served in the Army National Guard and married his love, Joice, on December 3, 1982, in Carlsbad, NM.
He was a cowboy. He always enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, James and Irene Donley.
He is survived by his wife, Joice Donley; his children, Chad Cathey (Feliz), Tonnie Blevins (Brandon), Jody Cathey (Dee); his grandchildren, Brittany, Dalton, Lane, Savannah, Caley, Reagan, Connor and Tayden; his great grandchildren, Zayden, Zakstyn, Kinlea, Zayne, Kaysen, Paislee, Stetson, Eli, Zaniyah, Ruger and Remi.
