James Elliott Obituary

Wilmington - James Donald Elliot, born on November 9, 1961, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 63. He was a beloved brother and friend, known for his warm sense of humor and love of life.
In 1979, James graduated from Elkhart High School in Indiana and went on to build a career as a dispatcher at a local taxi company. His colleagues remember him for his dedication and his ability to bring laughter into the workplace with his quick wit and lighthearted jokes.
A man of varied interests, James had a passion for science fiction, often losing himself in the imaginative worlds of his favorite authors. He also found joy in cooking, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations (sometimes with a shot of Fireball in his hand).
James was preceded in death by his father, James Elliott, and his mother, Carol Elliott. He is survived by his brother, Bradley Bruce Elliott, and his sister, Amy Michelle Davis, who will forever cherish his memory.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate James's life will be held on August 25th. Details regarding the location will be shared with family and friends in due course.
James will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
